Kim's Cover of "Everyone's Gone to the Moon."
Everyone's Gone to the Moon is a song that was written and recorded by British singer-songwriter and record producer Jonathan King. It was first pressed on the Decca label.
In the mid-1960's the space race between the US and USSR was in full swing and most peoples' eyes were raised skyward as satellites and space craft circled the earth. The next stop seemed like the moon. It would be one of the last years of freedom for the baby Boom Generation in the US as the Vietnam War ramped up shortly afterward.
Kim Kinrade's version of this memorable song features more drums as if foreshadowing the events to come. But in a futuristic move Kim adds a beginning and end with a Moon Shuttle ride and Flight Attendant giving the space travellers safety instructions and tour events once they reach the moon.
